After Round 1 of the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) 2024 in Vancouver, some of the world’s best Supercross riders will make their way down under for the series’ first-ever double-header event at HBF Park in Perth, Western Australia.
HBF Park has hosted a plethora of world-class sporting events, including Rugby League, Rugby Union and Soccer, and on 23-24 November 2024, will host WSX for the very first time in an action-packed weekend of high-octane racing.

What can you get up to in Perth?
Immerse yourself in Perth’s motoring scene by taking a trip to The Motor Museum of Western Australia, open daily from 10am to 4pm.
Only a short journey from HBF Park, Elizabeth Quay is a waterfront precinct, perfect for the whole family. Children will love the island playground and BHP Water Park, while the range of bars, restaurants and scenic promenades provide an ideal place to soak in the riverside atmosphere.
River cruises sail from Elizabeth Quay’s Barrack Street Jetty to the stunning Swan Valley and Fremantle, a historic port city home to the UNESCO world heritage site of Fremantle Prison.
Alternatively, take a short ferry day trip to Rottnest Island, to enjoy a day of cycling and snorkelling while you explore the 63 beautiful beaches, 20 bays and meet the famous and friendly quokkas .
For more Australian wildlife, take a trip to Penguin Island and see penguins and other wildlife in their natural habitat. You could also visit Caversham Wildlife Park, home to kangaroos, koalas, possums, wallabies, wombats and Tasmanian devils.
If hiking is what you’re looking for, the Bibbulmun Track is one of the world’s great long-distance walk trails. August to November marks wildflower season, so make sure to visit while you’re in town for WSX for some stunning natural sights. And let’s not forget Perth’s iconic, pristine beaches. Visit Cottesloe Beach to witness the crystal-clear waters and white sandy shores, ideal for swimming, surfing and enjoying Perth’s spectacular Indian ocean sunsets.
What’s happening in Perth this November?
To compliment your two-wheeled sports fix, Perth has a diverse selection of sports event this Spring, starting with National Basketball League action as the Perth Wildcats go up against the Illawarra Hawks on 1 November.
In the WBBL, meanwhile, the Perth Scorchers will be in action throughout the month, playing four home games at Optus Stadium against Brisbane Heat, the Melbourne Renegades, Sydney Thunder, and the Hobart Hurricanes.
Also, don’t miss Australia vs India in the West Test at Optus Stadium as they fight it out for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, from November 22 to November 26. Be there to witness the opening test of the five-match summer series!
Later in the month on November 20, Australia’s own multi-platinum chart-topping superstar, The Kid LAROI, will also play at the RAC Arena following his debut studio album, THE FIRST TIME, and his recently released new hit single, Girls.
Join Western Australian’s largest celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, PrideFEST, for celebratory activities from 15 to 24 November. A fun fair day takes place 17 November, featuring markets, food and entertainment. Later in the week, on 23 November, come along for the PrideFEST Parade and see the streets brightened by a rainbow of colour.
On 17 November from 10am to 4pm, Perth Upmarket will be showcasing over 200 of Perth’s local artisans, artists and food producers. Located at the University of Western Australia, parking and entry is free.
The week after WSX, catch the Christmas Twilight Market. From 4pm to 9pm on 29 November, an array of stallholders will be at the Supreme Court Gardens. With live music, food and even a visit from Santa himself, there’s something for all the family.
