Vancouver Art Gallery is a great way to immerse yourself in the city’s culture. Featuring a vast collection of art, the gallery showcases historical and contemporary pieces from both local and international artists.

Be sure to check out Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Spanning 137 metres, the iconic crossing is 70 metres above the Capilano River and situated in the tranquillity of the rainforest.

For the thrill-seekers, why not take the opportunity to enjoy Grouse Mountain’s zipline tours? Experience the breathtaking panoramic views of Vancouver from the tree and mountaintops. If ziplining isn’t for you, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the scenic Grouse Mountain sights, from hiking to taking the Skyride aerial tramway.

What’s happening in Vancouver in October?

Renowned Canadian entertainment company Cirque du Soleil will be performing in Vancouver from 9 October – 15 December. Taking place at Concord Pacific Place, witness never-before-seen acrobatics and magical stagecraft.

Get in the Halloween spirit with Fright Nights at Playland in Hastings Park. Featuring eight haunted houses and spooky activities, the Halloween festivities run from 4 – 31 October.

For more Halloween celebrations, join Burnaby’s Central Spark event on 27 October for an evening of entertainment. Solve the outdoor maze, play carnival games and witness the spectacle of the fireworks finale. To get there, simply take the SkyTrain’s Expo Line from Vancouver to Patterson.

What are the best transport options in Vancouver?

The SkyTrain is a rapid transit system travelling throughout the Metro Vancouver region. Connecting the cities of Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and Surrey, and also Vancouver International Airport, it’s a great way to get around. 

An extensive network of bus services run throughout the Greater Vancouver area, with many routes operating 24 hours a day.

Running seven days a week from early in the morning to late at night, SeaBus is a passenger ferry connecting downtown Vancouver to North Vancouver and offering stunning views of the harbour.

Vancouver has dedicated bike lanes and scenic cycling routes around the city.  As well as renting bikes from various locations, the bicycle-sharing system Mobi is available throughout Vancouver.
