Calvin Fonvieille and Brice Maylin to form Bud Racing’s SX2 lineup in 2024 FIM World Supercross Championship season.
Bud Racing has become the first team to announce its 250cc SX2 rider lineup for the 2024 FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX), confirming Calvin Fonvieille and Brice Maylin for the upcoming season.
With Fonvieille and Maylin, Bud Racing will compete with a new lineup for its 2024 SX2 champaign after fielding Adrien Escoffier and Anthony Bourdon – who recently stepped up to the team’s 450cc WSX squad – last season.
Holding six national championship titles at various levels, Fonvieille represents the next generation of Motocross and Supercross talent in France and is set to make an impact when he bursts onto the international scene in WSX later this year.
After winning France’s 65cc and 85cc National Motocross Championships in 2010 and 2014, Fonvieille tasted immense success in 2017 by becoming both the French Indoor Junior Supercross champion and French Junior Motocross champion.
In 2019, he again tasted success by claiming the French National MX2 title and added another championship to his name in 2021 by becoming the French MX 250 champion. 2024 will mark his rookie season in WSX.

Like Fonvieille, Brice Maylin will also make his debut in WSX this season and joins Bud Racing after displaying speed and consistency in the French Elite Motocross Championship over the past two years.
A proven Supercross racer, the 2022 French SX2 vice champion is hoping to make an immediate impression when he takes to BC Place in Vancouver on 26 October for the WSX Canadian GP – an event which arguably marks the biggest race weekend of his career to date.

Over the past two seasons, SX2 has been dominated by some of the best riders in the world like Max Anstie and Shane McElrath and although the competition will be tough, I’m ready to do whatever it takes to show what I can do on track. It’ll be an honour to represent Bud Racing in Vancouver, Perth, and Abu Dhabi, and I’m looking forward to getting the season started next month.”

The WSX Australian GP will follow the WSX Canadian GP on 23-24 November at HBF Park in Perth – the series’ first-ever double-header event. The season will then reach its conclusion on 4 December at Etihad Arena for the WSX Abu Dhabi GP where two world champions will be crowned.
